Who’s Talking About Your Podcast Online?
A few years ago, I met someone backstage at ACL Fest in Austin who had the same name as me.
He asked, “Who’s the David Hooper who comes up with I search for my name on Google?”
“I hope it’s me,” I replied.
If you’re in a similar situation, with a name (or podcast name) that’s difficult to distinguish from others with a same or similar name, consider looking for yourself via TinEye. a reverse image search engine.
TinEye lets you search for where an image appears on the web. By uploading an image or providing a URL, TinEye can find instances of that image online, track its usage, and identify modified versions.
Not only is it great for finding where you’re mentioned, it’s also helpful for double-checking logos and other artwork you use, to make sure somebody else isn't using the same (or similar) designs.
This is a must-use if you're buying any kind of graphic design from Fiverr or other low-cost marketplace sites, where it can be difficult to vet the people you work with.
