Speed Matters in Podcasting
Way too many podcasters go into “extensive study” before taking action, as if we’ve only got one shot at getting something right.
Most of the time, decisions we make related to podcasting are “reversible.”
Yes, it’s good to fact-check the content you release. Yes, you want to vet potential guests. Yes, asking other podcasters for equipment recommendations can be helpful.
But even well-researched decisions can have “bad” outcomes.
The only way to really know if something will work for you (or your podcast) is to try it. So if you’re thinking about it, do it. If something doesn’t work, at least you’ll be able to move on quickly.
The biggest mistake you’ll make in podcasting is not doing anything and calling it “research.”
Take action. You won’t mess this up.
What’s that thing you’ve been thinking about? Do it now.
