From the moment I walk into my studio until the moment I leave, the tape is running.
When I walk up to meet a guest at a remote location, the tape is running.
You never know when “a moment” is going to happen and, because these moments are impossible to recreate, you want to capture them.
But not everything is a “podcast.” And not every “moment” benefits from being recorded.
If there’s a microphone in the room, people in the room act differently, because whatever’s happening becomes a performance.
