Podcast City, USA
When I say "Nashville," people think country music. Or "Music City, USA."
That's branding.
I want to help you have a similar thing happen when somebody mentioned your podcast. I want people to know exactly what you stand for, without you having to be there to explain it yourself.
Answer these five questions to get started:
1. Who is my target audience?
Understanding who you’re trying to reach can help tailor your branding to appeal directly to them.
2. What’s the core message or theme of my podcast?
Clearly define what your podcast is about and what listeners can expect to gain from each episode.
3. How do I want my audience to feel when they listen to my podcast?
Think about the emotions or responses you want to evoke in listeners. This will help influence your podcast's tone and style.
4. What makes my podcast unique?
Identify what sets your podcast apart from others in the same genre. This uniqueness should be highlighted in your branding and content.
5. What visual and audio elements represent my podcast best?
Use colors, fonts, logo design, audio imaging (including intro music), and other sensory elements that align with your podcast’s identity and message.
NOTE: I’m always looking for great examples of podcast branding to feature here, on my podcast, and in my podcasting newsletter. Let me know about what you’re doing to brand your podcast!
Good luck!
