It's good to think ahead, but …
I was teaching a college class on music marketing and one of my students came up to me before class to ask for some advice.
“I’m trying to decide if I should get an SUV,” he told me. “I need something to drive clients around.”
“Let’s get you clients first,” I replied.
Podcasters do similar things. For example, buying a studio full of gear before we’ve even tested the idea of a podcast to see if anybody is interested in it.
It’s good to think ahead, but as Earl Nightingale said, "You can't get heat from a wood stove unless you put the wood in first."
First things first, you need to have the content figured out and the skills to deliver it. Then you can worry about how you’re going to record it.
